The Inspiring Trio~
Today, I have a treat in store for you, my readers.
As I search for more ideas for future art projects, the illustration above has been seen by most of you, I'm sure. It deserves a nice story to accompany it, don't you think? Also, this is a little something to bring some cheer to this blog. :)
It was a splendid, calm evening at the Keep. After another day of peace and prosperity in the Enchanted Realm, King Mickey was spending time with his sweetheart Queen, Minnie. The love struck mice adored to walk through the seemingly endless gardens of the great castle. Of course, a score of many allies and close friends retreated to this place once in a while to greet familiar faces.
Not too far off, a dear friend to the royal family had stopped by to deliver a gift to the Queen. A young man still, who was strong and full of heart, who chose to observe the mesmerizing night sky from atop of this single hill that overlooked the brilliant castle from a distance. Deformed yet with a sweet gleam in his aquamarine eyes, this soul was peaceful and content. Some time after the victory over the Dark Fairy, Quasimodo had mended things. To a point that forgiveness was part of the mixture. Libertas was gladly healed even more and was so happy to fly with him once more. As he sat, she stayed perched high in one of the tall pines not too far away. To enjoy things even more, he was carving a new wooden piece into what resembled an eagle of sorts.
Just as he was about to take his carving knife off of his belt, something... or someone, deliberately took it from him before he could grab it.
"Hey!" Quasi barked out in surprise, quite accustomed to such antics.
It so happened that a very specific purple feline had stolen the piece into his mouth and leaped gleefully into a tree. Unfortunately, the Hunchback had lost the game of catch as the feline gently played with the small carving in its fluffy paws. Truthfully, to the young man, this was not something entirely out of the ordinary and playfully tried to get the carving back from the fluffy cat, but to no avail.
"I've seen you at work before, Dreamer. Be a good lad now..." Quasi smirked at the giddy thing.
Snatching his friend into that of a hug, Quasimodo tried his best to snag the carving out of those paws.
"But you can't have it, it's mine, like you promised!" the feline seemed to talk before a bright flourish of light blasted out of nowhere only to reveal an elephant as it would seem to be from a dream. Although this did not surprise the Hunchback in the slightest and playfully locked the elephant's head into a gentle headlock.
"You cannot because this particular one is not yours, it is for Jackie."
The small battle ended when Dreamer ultimately disappeared from sight in a cloud of sweet cotton candy smell. "Dwaw, fine! You're no fun! I'll make it so... just you watch!"
He practically gave up, knowing the creature's habit was beyond his own control. Once again, a lovely light surrounded him before something quite strong picked him up from underneath him, taking him up quickly upwards towards the sky. Pink colored wings and a purple mane was all he could make out at first before he realized he was riding on the back of a colorful Pegasus.
"Y-you!" Quasi laughed, quite taken by surprise.
"Gosh, this is nothing!" the Pegasus replied. "One of my favorites!"
"I have to say, you are quite an impressive creature~ Don't know half of the things you can pull off~ where on earth are you taking me?"
"You're gonna see!"
